San Diego Hunger Coalition estimates that, as of March 2025, more than 1 in 4 (26%) San Diegans experience nutrition insecurity, or are unable to provide three, nutritious meals per day for themselves and/or their families. This marks the first time since 2020 that the nutrition insecurity rate surpassed 26%, meaning hunger has returned to pandemic levels. Children suffer most…but hunger can affect anyone. Working families, seniors on a fixed income, active duty military, veterans, homeless and college students. Growing children are the most affected though, 1 in 5 who are considered “food insecure” are children. The Fallbrook Food Pantry envisions a community where the pain and suffering caused by hunger do not exist. We envision a community where those in-need have access to an adequate and nutritious supply of food. |
